Good
Use the last 10–30 posts. If views are hidden, read ER by followers.
How to read the result
ER by followers shows how active the audience is. ER by views shows how many people who saw the post reacted to it. On TikTok and Reels, views are the better denominator; on Telegram and LinkedIn, followers often make more sense.
| ER | What it means |
|---|---|
| Below 1% | Very low: the content is not reaching or not resonating. |
| 1–3% | Low: basic traction, improve hooks and relevance. |
| 3–5% | Good: healthy engagement for many accounts. |
| 5–8% | Strong: double down on the formats that work. |
| Above 8% | Excellent: scale the series and collaborations. |
Benchmarks are a guide, not a rule. Compare with your own last 10–30 posts and with accounts of a similar size and niche.

Frequently asked questions
What is engagement rate? +
Engagement rate is the share of people who liked, commented or shared a post compared with followers or views. It shows how well the content connects, not just how large the audience is.
Should I use followers or views? +
Use both. ER by followers is comparable across accounts. ER by views shows how many people who saw the post reacted to it, which matters more on TikTok and Reels.
What is a good engagement rate? +
For many accounts, 3–5% by followers is healthy, 5–8% is strong and above 8% is excellent. Norms differ by platform, niche and account size, so compare with your own history first.
Why is my ER low? +
Common reasons are weak hooks, unclear value, the wrong audience, posting at the wrong time or a mismatch between the post and the account. Check the top and bottom posts before changing the whole strategy.
